There are so many things you want to avoid when selling your home.
1. Do not put it up for sale by owner unless you know exactly what you’re doing. A
realtor will know what homes near you sold for and will get you the money for
your house that you deserve.
2.
Becoming too
attached to your home can become a problem. Yes you put years of hard work
into it, but your opinion and someone who is looking at it might have a different
one. If you are there for the open house or showing you need to pretend you are
in there shoes. Let me speak their opinion without getting upset.
3.
Don’t be shy
on the marketing end of the whole thing. Taking 3 pictures of the home
usually turns a buyer away. Before making an appointment to see it they want to
get a picture in their mind of what it looks like.
4. If it’s broke fix it. When looking at a
new home you expect things to be in good if not decent shape. If you have
simple things such as a cracked cabinet or a door handle missing, replace it! It’ll
be worth it in the end.
